Not wanting to face the death of his father, Lin Qing Yu, alone in Li Jiang, unexpectedly lost wallet and was hired to be a school teacher for the Naxi people. Feelings develop between him and A Ren, a local who supports Lin Qing Yu. When the two open their hearts, they exchange keepsakes.
